Whether it is a shared dedication to detail, the relentless pursuit of excellence, or the unwavering commitment to timeless design, the design philosophies of Gaggenau and Occhio are naturally aligned. This harmony is brought to life by Munich-based architecture studio 1zu33, whose designers have curated and staged Gaggenau showrooms in London, Chicago, Chengdu, and beyond — creating a truly perfect fusion of Gaggenau’s kitchen appliances with Occhio’s lighting.

Chengdu丨Gaggenau Showroom

Located in Chengdu, China, the Gaggenau showroom is one of the latest collaborations between Gaggenau and Occhio. Here, Occhio not only enhances the minimalist and pure design philosophy of the showroom but also subtly integrates elements of its own concepts around wine tasting and dining.

In Chengdu, Occhio deliberately reduced the number of luminaires, allowing Gaggenau’s kitchen appliances — with their matching light effects and design language — to take on a role as part of the lighting concept.

Mito soffitto, with its distinctive form and light, underscores the elegance and sophistication of the all-black showroom.

Meanwhile, lui alto spotlights not only highlight the bamboo ceiling but also establish a symbolic link — evoking the image of giant pandas and their deep connection to the Sichuan region.
