When choosing lighting, the sun can serve as the perfect reference. Sunlight is defined by strong contrasts, clear shadows, and brilliant reflections. On bright days, we feel energized, uplifted, and in good spirits.

In contrast, when the sky is gray and overcast, most people feel tired and drained. Diffuse, dull light lacks structure. If a room has the same type of lighting, our sense of well-being becomes directly tied to whether the day outside is sunny or cloudy.

That is why our living spaces should be illuminated with the highest quality of light, combining indirect sources with bright spotlights. It is equally important to understand the quality of light itself: solid-state light sources are measured in terms of color rendering, or CRI (Color Rendering Index).

Sunlight serves as the benchmark with a CRI of 100. Occhio luminaires use LEDs with a CRI of 97, delivering light quality very close to natural daylight — bringing ideal living conditions into your home.
